Manchester School of Art is one of the UK's most popular schools for art and design, attracting excellent applicants from across the world. All offers are subject to a good portfolio, but what makes a good portfolio? Artist and curator Janine Goldsworthy, a tutor at Manchester School of Art, looks in detail at what is a portfolio, what are we looking for in the portfolio and what is a good portfolio. Including real examples of portfolios to talk you through accepted portfolios, rejected portfolios and importantly why this was the case. You should leave the session feeling confident that you can support and advise students on the portfolio and statement part of the application process to Manchester School of Art. This workshop is for counsellors at Manchester Met's official education advisers only and should not be shared with anyone else under any circumstances.
