Abstract:
Every student has a voice and every student deserves to be heard. In practice, this can sometimes be difficult to bring about. To address this, I use a practical and engaging seminar activity called The Silent Debate in which students have a discussion about seminar material without saying a word to one another. The video presentation details what the Silent Debate is, why it works and how you can use it to encourage everyone to have a say in your seminars.
