This video illustrates the data analysis process using MATLABĀ® (MathWorks R2022a, version 9.12.0), a custom motion analysis script developed by Manchester Metropolitan University's IT team. The script quantifies myotube contraction intensity by analyzing frame-by-frame changes in pixel intensity from video recordings. The process includes video importation, region of interest (ROI) selection, background subtraction, binary thresholding, and contraction intensity quantification. The video also highlights how contraction intensity data is recorded and summarized through main statistics, including total contraction count, frequency, and intensity over time.
