This webinar is chaired by Professor Ali Roy and three
authors from the each of the books sections talk about their research – Dr Maike
Klein, Dr Sari Lindemann and Ines Arendt. There is a Q&A with great input
from the audience.
The book and webinar examine the complex and continuing needs of people who
have sought to change their use of substances, investigating the ways in which
personal characteristics and social and systemic factors intersect to influence
the lives of people in long-term recovery. The book offers perspectives from
Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Iceland and the United Kingdom. The book centres around the voices of people who use substances and considers the role and needs of family members. There are clear
recommendations for improving future research, policy and practice.
