Launch of Teaching & Learning Community (TLC). TLC stands for Tender Loving Care but also Teaching and Learning Community. It is a community for all colleagues across faculties and professional services who have an interest in learning and teaching and an appetite to connect with colleagues across our institution and complements the institution, cross-institutional and external communities and networks. In particular, PGCLTHE/ MA in HE students/ alumni, and HEA Fellows of all categories will find this community of benefit to connect with colleagues from across our institution and identify opportunities for sharing, cross-fertilisation of ideas and individual and collective growth to make a real difference to our students. The central focus of the community is to share teaching practice and ideas, collaborate, innovate and break free of any disciplinary silos. Through this community there will be opportunities to disseminate work, collaborate on research projects, and support colleagues with career aspirations on the Education pathway. The opportunities are endless. This is our community and we can’t wait to see you there and work with you. The TLC hub is available within Teams and aims to help us all connect from anywhere, anytime and anyhow and you are all warmly welcome to join. We also hope to develop leadership capacity and capabilities through a rotating leadership model to empower colleagues and create new education leaders.
