It appears there are issues with break out rooms and students using the browser in teams. 

I suppose we need to suggest they use the desktop or phone app for the easiest experience. 
Or suggest they keep the two browser tabs open, but mute one of them perhaps.   
Or close the starting meeting tab and keep the original link to the main meeting to hand so they can rejoin it easily when needed.
