In preparation for industry 4.0 - the fourth industrial revolution, Manchester Met’s Faculty of Science and Engineering is developing its overarching academic vision to grow research in quantity and quality, to transform the delivery and shape of its education portfolio and to build partnerships.
At the forefront of this journey is our development of a Digital Twin, a smart electronic duplicate of our new state-of-the-art facilities which are currently under construction and set to open in 2024. Our Digital Twin enables Researchers to test and simulate changes to the Dalton building’s infrastructure and systems to determine how they and the occupying workforce will be affected.
This series of talks takes digital twin out of the abstract and highlight its real-world use cases. It showcases digital twin capabilities to accelerate digital transformation, artificial intelligence adoption and Smart Cities strategy.
